Audition

Atomic Theatre is excited to announce auditions for Treasure Island Unraveled, a musical written by Ken Crow. We are seeking seven actors for singing and non-singing roles, as well as several actors for chorus roles. Actors will receive a $100 stipend, and chorus members will receive a $50 stipend.

Callbacks will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 1:00 PM

Rehearsal Schedule:

• Read-through: Saturday, August 30th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM

• Wednesday Rehearsals: September 3rd through November 5th, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM

• Saturday Rehearsals: September 6th through November 8th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM (unless otherwise noted)

Plot Synopsis: It’s the final dress rehearsal, the night before opening, and the set designer has quit. The cast and crew are NOT ready, and everyone is at odds with one another. Despite the obstacles, the show must go on.

Character Descriptions:

·       Silver: Founder of the theater company who was passed over for artistic director and is very bitter about it. Takes it out on everyone by being a micromanager.

·       Old Bile: Longtime actor of the theater company. Hates conflict and wants everyone to get along.

·       Jim: A newcomer to the stage.

·       Old Israel: An actor who is making his directorial debut. He is controlling and has a chip on his shoulder.

·       Squire: The executive director of the theatre company. Will do anything to put up a show. A bit conniving.

·       Doctor: A board member and actor who tries to mediate conflicts.

·       Johnny: Happy to be cast in the show and willing to help in any way. Has a drinking problem.

We are also looking for the following crew members. They will receive a $100 stipend.
